Ruislip-Northwood UDC 1907
Source: Harrow Observer, 29 March 1907.
There were six candidates for four seats. In most cases only candidate surnames are available. The paper reported that there were 545 electors and that there were 26 spoilt papers. (This latter figure seems remarkably high, and might possibly refer to the simultaneously held Guardians election where there were two vacancies.)
J. Pavier 285 Edwards 280 Gregory 203 Thomas 164
Collins 162 Drew 94
"A few bills scattered throughout the district were the only indications of electoral strife, and Mr. J. Pavier's motor car, which traversed the district, lent an air of activity to the proceedings."

Ruislip-Northwood UDC 1906
Source: Harrow Observer 16 March 1906 (nominations), 6 April 1906 (results).
There were six candidates for three vacancies. There were about 860 electors.
George Boyd Wickes (solicitor) 310 John Westacott (farmer) 294 Max J.C. Mieklejohn (publisher) 252
Harry Bennett (butcher) 183 Herbert Ewer (gentleman) 81 William R.H. Inglis (engineer) 39
Confusingly, the newspaper printed Mieklejohn's result above Westacott's. The possibility of a transposition, or a misprint of Westacott's vote, cannot be ruled out.
The Observer on 6 April commented that Bennett was the candidate of the "Northwood Electoral Association". The purpose of the association was discovered in the edition of the Harrow Observer for 9 March 1906, viz:
1. To secure a fair representation on local public bodies, and to watch over the interests of the industrial classes. 2. To secure and maintain fair representation in all parts of the district. 3. To organize the industrial voting power to attain this object.

There were seven vacancies to be filled, in large part because the council size was increased from 9 to 12 at this election. A turnout of 50% was reported by the paper.

Ruislip-Northwood UDC 1911
Information is thin for this election. The only comment in the Harrow Observer is that there were to be "10 candidates for 7 seats" (edition 10 March 1911). This would refer to nomination day, and there may well have been withdrawals within the permitted period. The result could not be found in the Observer.
Information for the elections of 1912 and 1913 could not be found in the Harrow Observer.

Ruislip-Northwood UDC 1914Source: Harrow Observer 27 March 1914 (nominations), 10 April 1914 (result) There were six vacancies. Three validly nominated candidates withdrew their candidatures within the allowable period: Alfred E. Marks (butcher) Arthur E. Rawlinson (printer) John J. Satchell (master plumber) The result was: William J. Page (builder) 387 William P. Edwards (builder) 375 Frank M. Elgood (architect) 372 William Lavender (timber worker) 347 Frank Hall (ironmonger) 239 Acton T. Bucknall (solicitor) 213 William Williams (gentleman) 206 Stanley W. West (manager) 185 Albert W. McClellan (electrical engineer) 177 Henry W. Wallis (water bailiff) 162 Henry Thrift (hay binder) 151 William C. Lambert (land agent) 136 The Harrow Observer, in its edition of 27 March, stated: "The nominations for the Northwood Council election, where there are six vacancies, numbered fifteen; these, however, by subsequent withdrawals, have been reduced to twelve. This large number is attributable in the main to the remarkable manner in which the business has been conducted, and which oftimes has made the activities of the Council a byword for derision." Without further research these activities remain a mystery. The Wikipedia page for Ruislip-Northwood UDC is available here and includes an interesting description of governance and developments before the First World War, including ambitious plans for development of new homes.
